What is the GOP doing to bring in Latino voters? 

 

As I was walking around campus this week, I saw a student wearing a t-shirt that said “God Bless Arizona.” He was applauding Arizona for its controversial immigration law that was signed by Governor Jan Brewer last year. 

It is considered the most anti-illegal immigrant measure passed in recent history, partly due to the legislation’s allowance of racial profiling, which was recently ruled unconstitutional.

Alabama’s immigration law went into effect on Sept. 29.

Now known as one of the toughest in the country, Alabama’s law allows law enforcement officers to ask criminal suspects for documents proving their citizenship. If the suspects are unwilling or unable to provide such documents, police officers can detain them without bail.
