The Dodge Dart that most people remember was a V-8, rear-wheel drive, drag strip king that put fear into any driver who dared to cross its path.

Junior art majors Kate Butko and Daria Katrich are not strangers to constant stares. Everything about the two Russian exchange students seems to grab attention.
Their fashion is often the first thing to catch an eye. Leather shorts, cat-eye sunglasses and vintage accessories are all staples in their daily uniform. Exotic accents only heighten their striking impression. To Butko, 20, and Katrich, 21, being unique is nothing to be afraid of.

We see the photographs in every fashion magazine, showcasing the latest trends and styles in intriguing and interesting ways, but who is behind the camera?

I was rummaging through my old Vogue magazines the other day trying to find some kind of inspiration for this column.

What I ended up doing instead was gazing through the magnificent photographs, reliving the stories over and over again as I gazed at the wonderful fashions and the interesting settings.

And then it came to me. We see the photographs in every fashion magazine, showcasing the latest trends and styles in intriguing and interesting ways, but who is behind the camera?

Originally from Macon, owner Amy Head said she has always enjoyed art and grew up painting.

“My mother would set up still-lifes, and my sister and I would paint,” she said. “I guess I should say I’ve always been visually analytical naturally.”
